Blessing Duru is the Philanthropy Manager for the Jim Ovia Foundation and is responsible for managing the Jim Ovia Foundation scholarship programs.
Blessing has over eight years of experience in Philanthropy Management, Financial Management, Project Management, and Research. She has experiences across various sectors such as NGOs, Financial services, FMCG, Telecommunications, Banking, among others.
She began her career in Philanthropy Management with NIFES Uyo Zone, where her team was responsible for overseeing the welfare of indigent undergraduate students in Uyo Zone (consisting of five higher institutions) and coordinating programs targeted at nurturing students' life in and out of the University Campus.
During her time as the Vice President of the MBA School, University of Lagos, she coordinated a career fair that provided her fellow MBA students the opportunity to network with top officials from different industries in Lagos.
Blessing holds an MBA Degree with specialization in Business Management from the University of Lagos. She also holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Uyo and a Certificate in Project Management from Project Management Academy (UKRLP).
